It's Sunday!!

I have coffee made and I am getting ready for church this morning then it's the Eagles vs. Tampa Bay!! Tampa Bay is going down, I hope!!! LOL Everyone have a blessed day! Lisa

Happy Saturday!!

Well, my husband has to go to work this morning so I am up early and am going to get some coffee made soon!! Regular stuff on the agenda for today, shopping, housework, etc. I may try to get some Christmas shopping done today. It's that time of year again. Have to get started, it will be here before you know it!!

Touching the Sky

I climbed up a mountain
My aim was to touch the sky
But when I reached the top
I found it still too high
So I sat down on that mountain
And soon I had no fear
For life was all around me
I knew that God was near

I saw a woodpecker
Pecking a hole in a hollow tree
Squirrels were dropping nuts
And they were falling on me
I heard a bluebird singing
And saw a robin build her nest
I saw some deer strolling
And then they lay to rest

I heard the trees whispering
Their leaves still wet with dew
Drying in the morning sun
As it came shining through
A rabbit hopped from some bushes
A lizard crawled on a log
I heard a funny noise
I looked, it was a frog

As I climbed back down that mountain
I passed a little stream
Wild flowers grew along the bank
And the water was fresh and clean
I stopped right there and bowed my head
Then raised my eyes above
For the life I saw around me
I knew that God is love

I took some thoughts along with me
As I went on my way
Surely I had been on the mountain top
And saw peace and love that day
When I reached the bottom of that mountain
I raised my head up high
For I knew up on that mountain
I had surely reached the sky

Rainy days and Mondays always get me down!!!

Well, it's Monday again!!! It had been cool in the mornings here in Jersey lately. I got up and got Shelbie to the groomers real early this morning, by 7 am when they opened. I am hoping she will be done before I have to go to work at 11: 30 am or my husband will have to pick her up later this afternoon as he has off today. He is lucky, huh!!! Well, on another note, the Eagles let me down yesterday!!!!! I thought that game would go into overtime, but no!!! Well, I'll hear it at work today!!!!! Have a blessed day! Lisa

Shopping and house chores on the agenda for today!!! Shelbie will go with me to see my grandmother later today. It is cooler here in Jersey this morning. There was frost on my car! Have a great day!

Entering Autumn

As the wind dances with leaves on the ground
Splashes of color float all around.

Small fires are made in the fireplace-
Warming the rosy cheeks of each face.

Children crunch leaves under their feet
Apple pies scent the air so sweet.

Birds fluff up their feathers in the cold
Resting in trees that have turned bright gold.

Brisk winds bring about a blessed season
Theat God made with perfect reason.

Autumn is beautiful by God's design,
Created with love and hands divine.

Well, the weekend is here and I will have shopping and house work on the agenda as well as my niece's 14th birthday party on Sunday!! I think I will get her a gift card since she isn't as easy to shop for as she use to be!! She can pick out what she likes and she's happy that way!! Teenagers, ya know!! The Eagles play the Cowboys this Sunday at 4 pm!! Go EAGLES!! Anyways, Have a great weekend!!

Jesus, Heaven's Majesty

JESUS, heaven's majesty
Came into the world
Bringing hope and promise
God's greatest love unfurled

He healed, He taught, He forgave
He even raised the dead
But rather than proclaim Him Lord
He was crucified instead

His clothing was a scarlet robe
And thorns was His crown
Mockery was His praise
As His precious blood ran down

He cried "Father forgive them
For they know not what they do"
Jesus, Heaven's majesty

Today He is still not welcomed
In the heart and lives of man
They still try to crucify Him
In every way they can
