Hey sweets... good to see you! It's been a crazy summer, eh? It's been raining a lot here and now we are getting geared up for the aftermath of Hurricane IKE... I feel for all those living on the coast... always have... I love the beach and the coast, but it would be so hard to live there in constant reminders of storms like that... having to pack and leave during Hurricane season...
Anyway, trying to get back into the swing of blogging and commenting... I love the Fall, you know that! ha!
Have a great day, girlie!
Hugs!
Amen! Good post!
Thanks for your concern...it looks to come through the Dallas area, probably as a tropical storm Sat evening!
morning kiddo! i had a lovely day yesterday despite the rain that has been constant here for 48 hours now. when i got up this morning, it was still raining, but looked a little brighter....now, an hour later, it's pretty dark again, and i think Ike is making his way through now. it's not supposed to clear up around here for another day or so. the streets are full of water, the yards are water-logged. my shed floor is under water now, and i noticed that the toilets are not flushing forcefully either. i think the sewers are overflowing too. i heard that "Lowell" a pacific hurricane is what brought us this system, and now Ike joins in....! I had a nice time with my son and his family yesterday, even though the soccer game was indeed cancelled due to the rain. we had a nice dinner and i sure enjoyed playing with the grandkids. i was tired when i got home, so i went to bed around 9 and slept in til about 7:30 this morning. well, i think i'll get a little breakfast and then just chill the rest of the day. as long as i have power, i'll just watch some movies today. not planning on going out anywhere today!
