  • good morning puppies

    Hi!
I am going to answer the feature question "What are some of your favorite childhood memories?"

Well, The family always got together at my grandmother's house for Sunday dinner.  Great food!  I remember her always making her "sweet" ice tea, we're talking sweet!  I remember getting together for the holidays, having eater egg hunts at my grandmother's too. Going to my Aunt Connie and Uncle Johnnie's for christmas eve every year, we still do!!   I remember going to the pool in the summer time at the apartments complex we lived at.  The kids had a blast playing marco polo and such.  I also have lots of memories of being in the high school marching band, that was great for me!!  I was actually so down when I graduated because I wouldn't have marching band anymore!!!

Well, those are just some things I thought of!
    Have a blessed day!
    Lisa

    -christmas eve smorgasbords

    -birthday cakes and parties

-living within minutes of all your relatives, (and being happy about that)  :0)

  • congrats on adding a new baby to your household!  my, my!  all my friends are going Yorkie on me.  announcementman's daughter brought home a Yorkie pup today too from what i hear!  out of the 3 grooms i had today, 2 were Yorkies!  isn't that weird?!  I'm sure she'll give Shelbie a run for her money now.  What fun!

  • Our family had great Sunday feasts of pasta, salads and rolls at my Grandparents home with my Aunts and Uncles and cousins....Have a blessed Sunday....Mike

  • Sounds like you have alot of good memories...I also was in marching band and loved it...and missed it when I graduated.  Hope you have a great week!

  • good morning!  i'm up early even though i don't have to go to work today.  i have a groom here at 1pm and its a very old dog with some serious health problems.  the owner has assured me that should something happen to the dog while he were here, she completely understands.  she used to groom him herself, but she has health problems too and can't anymore.  i'll do my best, but the last thing i need is for a dog to go down on me here.

i could refuse to do the dog, but there isn't anyone else that will touch him, and i feel bad about that.  the elderly and infirm should have dignity too....  anyway, miss tillie is off her bronchial medication now and not breathing well without it.  will have to call the vet this morning.  *sigh*  it's getting a little cooler here.  i think rain is expected tonite, but not much.  we'll see.  the plants are starting to show that 'end of summer look' that makes you want to pull them out of the pots!  another thing on the list of things to do.

  • by the way, i'm so glad that Kaira is doing well!  sounds like you got a good little dog there and that she and shelbie are getting along very well so far!  Yay!  you'll have to post a pic of the 2 of them soon!

  • I was so happy to get your comment.  Thanks for visiting my place.  I have been thinking back to childhood lately.  My memories include Sunday dinners at my Mother's with my Children.  Roast Beef , like no other could make. As a child myself we were always home with Mother doing the dinners even then.
