    A Psalm of Praise
    By Sandra Garret

    Sunshine filters thru the leaves
    In shining bands of gold,
    That with warmth enfold
The part of me that grieves.
It's warmth is a reminder of
    A love beyond all reckoning.
    Love from that Heavenly King.
Our Lord and Father up above
    I reflect on the sorrow
    He must have felt inside
As we sacrificed His Son and turned aside.
O, He must love us so,
    To have endured such pain,
And the giving up of His very breath
    In the agony of death
    That we might live again.
So, unto Him, my voice I raise
As I stand in the suns golden motes
Honor and love of him filling each note
    Of everlasting praise.

    Have a great day!

  • What an awesome poem.  I was just reading a scripture today about Jesus on the cross on when he said "Why hast thou forsaken me?"  It made me think about how the Father must have hurt so to see His Son going through so much torture, and pain, but knowing all the while that it was for a bigger cause. Can you only imagine being a parent and watching that happen to your son or daughter?  What love He has for us!

My name is Christi and I am new to your HeartBeat Team!  I just wanted to stop by to say hello today.  Feel free to visit anytime.  I love meeting new people!!!
